The November New York Mac Meetup will be taking place at Ripley-Grier Studios on 131 West 72nd Street, between Amsterdam & Columbus. Subways B or C to 72nd Street, 1,2, or 3 line to 72nd Street.
Our featured presenter will be Jonathan Zacks, the owner of Mac Help NYC. His website is: http://www.machelpnyc... Jonathan will be doing a presentation about backing up your data and he will cover what to do if your hard disk fails.
We will be opening things up for discussion this time. Please feel free to take the floor and share with us the Mac programs that you find most reliable and fun.
My new goal for this Meetup is to have get togethers on a more regular basis - possibly twice a month with an emphasis on teaching folks about specific programs that they would like to learn, such as learning how to use Keynote, as well as other programs. I want this group to be about how we all use Macs day to day. I want it to be a real forum for learning. I will be posting a poll to see what programs people are interested in learning about so that we can tailor the Meetups to meeting as many peoples' needs as possible.
“ Noah gave an incredible presentation that blew my mind! It was really brilliant and important. Thanks to Laurence for putting it together..more people should come!! The technical information was far beyond anything I know about but I should know more in that area and so it really put a fire under me and was a very infomative evening in nice relaxed setting. Thank you very much! ”
