“ I like that this session there was some open time given to group members for mentioning tips, new findings, and general questions. Perhaps not a lot came from the responses tonight, but I think it's great to set aside a little time each meeting to give those attending an open-ended opportunity to bring up something to the group, whether a question or recommendation. I love to hear of programs, sites, great apps, etc. which I might want to explore further on my own. This would be a good component of these meetings, and perhaps if people knew it was a regular feature - more might come of it. for instance: I'd like to mention "Font Doc" as a terrific little helper - providing comparative samples of your word choices in the various fonts you've selected, all lined up. - very useful. ”

“ I joined because I am a new convert to Macintosh - received my laptop early this year and I wanted to network with other Mac users. I had also hoped to gain knowledge and perspective from other Mac users. I am reading a great deal of information on Macintosh products and had thought to gain from the practical experience of users with years of loyalty to a Mac. This was my first meet-up with this particular group and found them to be very welcoming, however, it is too soon for me to say whether I would recommend this group to a"new convert". I found the information assummed the audience was at an advanced level in use. ”
